Well, its been a long road to getting this thing off the ground. Fortunately I have the drive to keep on moving forward. The website will launch soon. It’ll be what I call my greatest attempt at anything yet. I hope that the site will interest the younger black generation as well as other people of color. All ages. From my conversations with friends and colleagues and other race groups it is evident that they have a desire to see what I am doing come to life and that it is needed. It can definitely fill a void.
Most people I know tell me that I am crazy, though. They often say that it is a great idea but that it will never happen. Well, thing is, I don’t listen to most people anyway. People that tell you it can’t be done, usually are afraid to try and do something themselves.
I spoke with one of the developers last night and he thinks we will be able to launch right at the beginning of the month of March, 2007. This will be great. I am getting nervous now. I should be…lol..lol. I put my time, money and energy into it all. This is my baby. It will start up and go live right after Black History Month ends in February, 2007. I can’t wait. I’m excited to see what the response will be over time. I know that it will prove to be a great tool for educators and the people alike. People can be entertainment, too.
